InterLangua will prepare you for global success

No matter how good your product, service, or academic record is, achieving success in foreign cultures requires an understanding of cultural differences.

While cross-cultural know-how requires interaction, it also demands repetitive, goal oriented, disciplined approaches to overcome barriers and reach clear objectives.

Cross-cultural know-how is for individuals, institutions, and organizations, focused on effective interpersonal and written communication skills at all levels in English for Academic Purposes; English for Specific Purposes  (Business); and Formal Research in English Styles.

·         English for Academic Purposes (EAP): Writing, speaking, listening, and interviewing.

·         English for Specific Purposes (ESP): Increasing skills for people in business and professional work situations.

·         Research Methods and Styles for Publication: Editing, proof-reading and citing for international publications, theses, dissertations, grants and proposals, applications and many other requirements.

American Scene Summer Camp - Better English Skills through Creative Exploration

American Scene Summer Camp was held at the YuCai Number Four Primary School from July 12 through July 30, 2010.  The camp was a cooperative effort between InterLangua LLC and the Shenzhen Shekou YuCai Education Group.  American Scene imported expert teachers from The United States in order to bring authentic American-style instruction to the children of Shenzhen. A particularly profound form of English Immersion was created through the lively exploration of weekly curricular themes.

The twenty-five American teachers and four hundred campers spent three exciting weeks together engaging in a wonderful cross-cultural exchange. The three areas of study that were used as vehicles for enhancing English proficiency were Biomes, Career Awareness and World Cultures. The campers approached these diverse weekly topics through the means of five different educational disciplines - Music Instruction, Story Telling, Game Playing and The Performing and Visual Arts. In this way, the children not only experienced the novelty of engaging in a variety of American learning techniques but also made great strides in their practical English skills.

The highlight, at the end of each week, was the public performance. These exuberant theatrical presentations provided a forum for the children to showcase not only their newfound knowledge but also their greatly enhanced English skills to both their family and peers. Finally, and perhaps most importantly, the campers demonstrated a solid and measurable improvement in their English fluency while exuding a happy self-confidence.  They left American Scene having formulated expansive new dreams for their future lives.
